We are pleased to welcome LAr. Ahmad Yusri Mat Yusoff from Sime Darby Property as one of our distinguished speakers at the International Tropical Arboriculture Conference (INTAC) 2026.

His presentation, “Growing with Nature: Integrating Arboriculture into the City of Elmina,” will explore how arboriculture can be thoughtfully integrated into large-scale urban development to create places where people, trees and nature can thrive together.

We are excited to welcome CA Jonathan Picker from Asia Tree Preservation, Hong Kong as one of our distinguished international speakers at the International Tropical Arboriculture Conference (INTAC) 2026.

His presentation, “Roots in Motion: Bare-Root Transplant of Mature Trees in Hong Kong,” will take us into one of the more specialised and fascinating areas of arboriculture — the transplantation of mature trees using bare-root techniques.

Moving a mature tree is far more than simply digging it up and relocating it. Understanding root architecture, managing root loss, maintaining tree vitality and carefully planning the transplant process are critical to giving a mature tree the best chance of establishing successfully in its new location.

+ When a mature tree moves, its roots tell the story.

Through his experience in Hong Kong, CA Jonathan Picker will share insights into the opportunities, challenges and practical considerations involved in mature tree transplantation — particularly in dense urban environments where tree retention and relocation can play an important role in sustainable development.

This is a session not to be missed for arborists, landscape professionals, developers, local authorities and anyone involved in tree preservation and mature tree management.
