Hey there, students and graduates! We’re participating in the BAC LexJob Expo 2024, this 12 October 2024, from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm.

It’s our first time, and we are eager to help you spark drive and momentum with career development and a sustainable career within the legal profession.

We’ve got snacks (check!) and a curated playlist (check!) to share during the event. We’re looking for Pupils, Interns, and Associates, so have your Cover Letter and CV handy to drop with Farez during the event or simply send one to [email protected].

3rd SCREENWRITING COMPETITION FOR MALAYSIAN HORROR/THRILLER MOVIE
Run by Kuman Pictures in association with

1.⁠ ⁠We seek an original screenplay set in Malaysia for a small-scale horror
or thriller feature movie.
2.⁠ ⁠The writer may be of any age, nationality or level of experience.
3.⁠ ⁠The screenplay can be written in either Malay or English. The dialogue has to be in either Malay (for Malay dialogue) or English (for dialogue other than Malay). In the case of the latter, the actual dialogue (in Chinese, Tamil, Kadazan, Iban, etc) should also be included in brackets.
4.⁠ ⁠Suggested length: 70-100 pages. In proper screenwriting format, saved as PDF.
5.⁠ ⁠The story must be in the horror or thriller genre. Not all horror movies need ghosts and not all thrillers need killings.
6.⁠ ⁠There should ideally be no more than 10 speaking parts and 3 major locations, but these are flexible.
7.⁠ ⁠Only one screenplay will be chosen, but there might also be a shortlist. The winner will get RM20,000 and 1% of the film’s income on all platforms.
8.⁠ ⁠The winner will be announced in August 2024. We pledge to shoot the winning screenplay in 2025, directed by Khairi Anwar.
9.⁠ ⁠Copyright of all submitted screenplays remain with the writer.
10.⁠ ⁠Be afraid. Be very afraid.
