29.6.2026: Today, the Court of Appeal allowed my client's appeal. The conviction and sentence under section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 were set aside, and my client walked out of court as a free man after five years.
One moment from today will stay with me. Our client's mother said, " Now I can finally sleep."
Sometimes, the significance of a judgment cannot be measured by legal principles alone. It is measured by the relief, hope and reunion it brings to a family.
I am grateful for the trust my client and his family placed in me, and I am honoured to have represented him at the appellate stage.
