Viknesh & Yap was pleased to host a visiting delegation from Dentons Foshan, led by its Senior Partner Mr. Ding Zhi, together with Mr. Wu Shaofen, for an in-depth exchange on cross-border legal cooperation.
Our Managing Partner, Mr. Viknesh Selvanathan, together with Partners Ms. Shallini Subramaniam and Mr. Yap Brent, met with the Dentons Foshan team to discuss strategic collaboration, referral frameworks, and coordinated legal support for clients engaging in business activities between China and Malaysia.
The discussion comes at a timely juncture, as economic ties and commercial cooperation between China and Malaysia continue to strengthen, driven by growing trade flows, outbound investments, manufacturing, infrastructure, and regional expansion into Southeast Asia. Effective cross-border legal collaboration is increasingly critical to help clients navigate regulatory requirements, transactional structuring, and dispute risk management across both jurisdictions.
We value these meaningful exchanges and look forward to developing practical and trusted cooperation with Dentons Foshan to better serve Chinese enterprises investing in Malaysia, as well as Malaysian companies expanding into China.
