On 11 July 2026, the Young Lawyers & Chambering Pupils of Malacca had the privilege of organising “Setitis Kasih, Sejuta Harapan” at Kompleks Anak Yatim Fatimah Al-Zaharah. It was a truly meaningful and memorable day with the children filled with joy, compassion, and the spirit of giving.

We are delighted to share that the programme was a great success. However, none of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of our dedicated volunteers, whose time, energy, and commitment brought this initiative to life.

Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to every individual who contributed, whether through monetary donations or donations of items. Your generosity has made a meaningful impact and helped bring smiles to the children while reminding them that they are supported and cared for by the community.

To everyone who played a part, no matter how big or small, thank you for believing in this cause and for making “Setitis Kasih, Sejuta Harapan” a resounding success. Together, we have proven that even a small act of kindness can inspire great hope.

May this be the beginning of many more meaningful initiatives as we continue to serve and give back to the community.

On 2 July 2026, the Malacca Bar Committee successfully organised a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Talk entitled “Conduct of Trials”, delivered by Yang Arif Tuan Isa Aziz Ibrahim, Judicial Commissioner of the High Court of Malaya in Melaka.

The session offered members of the Malacca Bar and pupils in chambers valuable practical insights into trial advocacy, courtroom conduct, and litigation practice. Participants also had the opportunity to benefit from Yang Arif Tuan Isa’s wealth of experience and engage in meaningful discussions throughout the session.

The Malacca Bar Committee extends its sincere appreciation to Yang Arif Tuan Isa Aziz Ibrahim for his time, generosity, and invaluable sharing. We would also like to thank all members and pupils in chambers for their enthusiastic participation and support, which contributed to the success of the programme.

On 24 June 2026, the Malacca Bar had the honour of celebrating the elevation of Puan Elesabet Paya Wan as a Judicial Commissioner and bidding her a fond farewell.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations on this well-deserved appointment and wish her every success in this new chapter of her distinguished judicial career.

We also take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude for her dedicated service to the Melaka Courts over the past 20 years. Her commitment, professionalism, and contributions to the administration of justice have left a lasting impact on the legal fraternity and the community.

Last night, we had the distinct honour of hosting a Welcoming Dinner in honour of Yang Arif Dato’ Sri Raja Segaran A/L S. Krishnan.

The evening was made even more meaningful with the presence of his Lordship, Yang Arif Tuan Suria and Yang Arif Tuan Isa, whose attendance reflected the strong bonds of mentorship, respect, and camaraderie within the Bench. It was truly a privilege to welcome not only Yang Arif Dato’ Sri Raja Segaran, but also to host their Lordships who joined us in marking this special occasion.

Surrounded by esteemed Judges, Court officers and respected members of the Bar, and fellow colleagues, the night was filled with warmth, engaging conversations, and a shared sense of purpose in upholding the administration of justice. The gathering stood as a testament to the close relationship between the Bench and the Bar, and the enduring values that guide our profession.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making the evening such a memorable success. Your presence and support brought life to the celebration.
