Messrs Akram Hizri Azad & Azmir (‘AHAA’) is a young and dynamic legal firm established on 15.4.2015 by our founding partners: Hizri bin Hasshan, Muhammad Akram bin Dato’ Dr. Abdul Aziz and Ahmad Shamil Azad bin Abdul Hamid. In year 2016, Noorazmir Zakaria and Ayu Pertiwi Binti Hussain joined AHA to expand the areas of practice of the firm. Our office is located strategically in EkoCheras, within t

he vicinity of Malaysia’s capital city, Kuala Lumpur. Accessible via major roads and highways, our location is also a stone throw away from various public transportation stations (e.g. bus and taxi, KTM Komuter, Light Rapid Transit/LRT and soon, Mass Rapid Transit/MRT trains) making it convenient for our clients to reach us for meetings and appointments. We cater to clients of different backgrounds : from individuals to corporate entities as well as government bodies, local and international. It is a testament to our team’s capability of handling vast area of legal issues and disputes. In ensuring we are also reachable to our clients outside Klang Valley and Malaysia, we make it a point to equip our office with hi-tech equipment and electronic gadgetries. We embrace the development of technology to our advantage; international-based clients are able to reach us via the internet and we regularly conduct meeting with international clients via tele-conference or video-conference (Zoom, Google Meet and other online platforms). Today, Akram Hizri Azad & Azmir (AHAA) continues its monthly Strategic Talent Enhancement Programme (STEP) with a session conducted by our Senior Associate Mohammad Haziq titled “Basic Principles of International Law.”

We are pleased to share that our Partner, Ahmad Shamil Azad Abdul Hamid, was recently featured by BERNAMA in an article titled “Multilingual Proficiency Aids Access to Justice.”

Drawing from his experience as a Magistrate at the Sungai Siput Court in Perak, Ahmad Shamil highlighted the importance of using simple and clear language, together with interpreter services, to ensure that every individual fully understands court proceedings, decisions and sentences.

His insights reflect an essential principle of justice: the law must not only be administered fairly, but also communicated in a way that can be clearly understood by those it serves.

Our Strategic Talent Enhancement Programme (STEP) successfully continued on 31 July 2026 at our Headquarters in Queensville, Kuala Lumpur, with participants attending both in person and via online meeting.

We were honoured to welcome Mr Khairul Anuar Azmi, an accomplished Voiceover Artist, Producer, and Communications Trainer with extensive experience in voice performance, commercial voiceovers, narration, and media production. During his session, The Art of Voice Projection, he shared valuable insights into the techniques of effective voice projection, his professional journey in the voiceover industry, and the importance of developing vocal communication skills that are highly beneficial for lawyers, professionals across various industries, and everyday communication.

At AHAA, we believe that continuous learning extends beyond legal knowledge. Developing strong soft skills is equally important in building confident, effective, and well rounded professionals who are able to communicate with clarity and impact.

We hope every participant left the session with practical knowledge and greater confidence to apply these skills in both their professional and personal lives.
