The National Young Lawyers Commitee (NYLC) is a Committee under the Malaysian Bar Council which focuses on holistic development of young lawyers and pupils in Malaysia.The NYLC has been the bedrock for future leaders of the the Malaysian Bar.

The National Young Lawyers and Pupils Committee is organising series of online Crash Course for all young lawyers and pupils.

Our first course was conducted on Friday, 19.06.2020 and the topic covered is "FORFEITURE OF PROPERTY UNDER DDA & AMLA". A total number of 3oo participants have participated the course and we believe more participants will be joining our next courses!

Details of our next three courses are as follows:

This online survey is an initiative by the Bar Council National Young Lawyers and Pupils Committee (“NYLPC”) to collect data pertaining to the salaries of young lawyers throughout Peninsular Malaysia.

The objective of the survey is to gain a better understanding of the perspectives of, and financial challenges faced by, young lawyers, in order to ascertain whether a minimum wage system should be developed for the legal profession.

Members of the Bar and pupils in chambers are encouraged to participate in this survey.

Many thanks to all the participants of Speak Up! at the Kelantan Bar Auditorium that was held on the 20th October 2019. It was a great turn out and we hope that you all have learned some valuable lessons.

Come this Sunday 20 October 2019, NYLPC in collaboration with the Kelantan Bar Young Lawyers Committee will be holding an event titled "Speak Up! A Talk on Criminal & Civil Litigation".

Date: 20 October 2019 (This SUNDAY!)
Time: 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM (Registration starts at 8.30 AM)
Venue: Kelantan Bar Auditorium, Jalan Pengkalan Chepa, Kampung Tanjung Mas, Kota Bharu, Kelantan.

This one-day event aims to provide a platform for young lawyers and pupils from the East Coast region to speak up on the challenges and issues they face in the course of legal practice and as members of the legal profession.

In addition the event will provide an unmissable opportunity for participants who are interested in gaining knowledge regarding civil and criminal litigation to hear from practitioners in theses areas of practice.

Featured Speakers are Mr Yusfarizal Yussoff, the Chariman of the NYLPC, Mr Rajsurian Pillai and Ms Quiin Hng Huey Koon, Members of the NYLPC.

Congratulations to everyone involved in the Introduction to the Legal Profession Seminar 2019 at UKM yesterday for making the event such a great success.
