We have warned many parties who brought these proposed modes to us for advise in the past. Hope this case set a good precedent and let all be warned to abide by the rule of law.

QUOTED:
1. The appeals court set aside a High Court ruling after the two borrower companies successfully established that the 16 sales and purchase agreements (SPAs) were a sham.

2. Delivering the broad grounds of judgment, Justice Ahmad Fairuz Zainol Abidin said the property transactions were null and void as the loans – given by eight individuals and one company to AJ Kasturi Sdn Bhd and MA Joseph Capital Sdn Bhd – were illegal moneylending transactions.

3. “The Moneylenders Act 1951 exists to protect borrowers and cannot be circumvented,” he said in allowing appeals brought by AJ Kasturi and MA Joseph Capital.

The Court of Appeal rules the loans, given by nine lenders to two companies, are illegal under the Moneylenders Act 1951.

We are thankful for what we had gone through in year 2024. The most important of all, we are blessed with a dedicated team who are always willing to sail through the storm in unity, and that is our strength and secret in overcoming various challenges over the years.

We invited the family members of our team members to join us in our annual appreciation dinner, and we present a small token of support to our children who are studying in primary and secondary school.

As a united team, we shall continue to commit ourselves to give our best services and supports to our clients and associates.
