These shows would demonstrate the struggles and achievements of lawyers, prosecutors, and judges, the impact of the media towards a court trial, the idea of legal justice versus moral justice, the importance of the chain of evidence, sound research, a power team, and so much more. Would binging on these be taken as "conducting research?" We would think so. 😬

Updates from Singapore: "According to the Health Ministry, an individual is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after he or she has received the full regimen of Pfizer-BioNTech/ Comirnaty, Moderna or any vaccine in the World Health Organisation’s Emergency Use Listing. This includes Sinovac-Coronavc, Sinopharm and AstraZeneca's vaccines." Those who are refusing other types of vaccines aside from Pfizer, not because of science, but because of the fear of non-entry into Singapore, please go for your vaccination appointments/register yourself. Malaysia has not been listed as one of the eligible countries for travellers, but your cooperation to increase our vaccination rate will soon lead to that outcome.

A quick calendar review of your upcoming schedule would have you better prepared for the week and reduce the need for last-minute cancellations due to overlapping commitments. When arranging meetings with clients in Malaysia and Singapore, we are always mindful of the difference in the workdays of certain states in Malaysia, where Friday is a weekend, and Sunday is a working day. The swift changes brought by COVID-19 on the way litigators work decades since have brought positive challenges and problems. Since it is Friday, we'll share about 1 pleasing adjustment. ✨

Pre Covid-19 Era: Lawyers would have to rush to court first thing in the morning, grab a quick breakfast or forget about it altogether so they could get an early queue number for their cases to be heard. You would see them working on a few other matters with laptops/tablet while waiting for the court to call their case. Sometimes, it also involves rushing from one courtroom to another.

Covid-19 Era: Thanks to eReview, our lawyers can now have a good breakfast before starting the day, log into their sessions, address multiple cases simultaneously, and inform the court of the necessary before diving into their meetings or paperwork, all in one place!

We extend a warm welcome to our Virtual Intern, Ms. Katrina Doshi, who joined us on Monday, 1 February 2021. Despite the challenges brought by COVID-19, our firm has adapted to the new normal and created a Virtual Internship Program that allows Katrina, a final year law student, to engage in practical legal training and cross-border legal issues. Katrina is not new to us. She had demonstrated her potential and guidance in the legal field when our partners trained her for a mediation competition among law students. Among Katrina's many achievements and initiatives, she is the Diplomacy Talk Series' founder, aiming to create awareness, stimulate dialogue, and educate youth and the general public on sustainable development goals. We are excited to start this virtual journey with Katrina and look forward to navigating her legal journey through this internship program.
