It looks controlled. It isn’t.

Tens of thousands of people.
Everything running at full load.

Coachella makes it look easy.

Lights.
Sound.
Perfect timing.

But behind it -

Power is fluctuating.
Structures are moving.
Crowds are compressing.

Everything is interacting at once.

And that’s where risk lives.

We’ve seen what happens when it tips.

At Astroworld Festival 2021, nothing “broke” at first.

The crowd just got tighter.
Movement slowed.
Pressure built.
Until people couldn’t breathe.

That’s the part most miss.

Disasters don’t start with chaos.

They start with conditions.

Too many variables.
Too close to the limit.
And one small shift…

spreads faster than anyone can react.

This isn’t just about festivals.

It’s malls.
Airports.
Buildings.

Any place where systems and people meet under pressure.

The real question isn’t:

“Is it safe?”

It’s:

What happens when everything is stressed at once?

Because when it fails -

It doesn’t fail one part at a time.

It cascades.

And by the time you see it…

it’s already too late.

Loss doesn’t wait. Neither do we.

We’ve now positioned our SVP for Restoration in Indonesia.

Not for meetings.
For response.

Fires. Floods. Natural disasters. Typhoons. Contamination.

When operations stop - speed decides what you recover.. and what you lose.

This isn’t new territory.

He’s worked across industries where downtime isn’t an inconvenience - it’s critical:

• Semiconductor & precision manufacturing
• Oil & gas
• Power & utilities
• Mining & heavy industry
• Petrochemical plants
• Data centres
• Food & pharmaceutical environments
• Ports, marine & logistics
• Commercial buildings

Different sectors. Same reality.

The visible damage is only part of the story.

The real question is:

What can actually be saved?

Because recovery isn’t just about cleaning.

It’s about knowing:

• What can be restored
• What needs replacement
• What was already compromised before the incident

That difference?
It changes everything.

Indonesia is moving fast.

We’re already there.

He drove less than 300 meters.. then turned back.

Something didn’t feel right.

First, a faint smell.
Then smoke.. creeping out from the dashboard.

At that point, most people would do the same thing.

Open the door.

Oxygen rushes in.

But that one action can change everything.

What was quietly smouldering… suddenly finds oxygen.
And in seconds, it becomes flame.

By the time responders arrived, the outcome was already decided.

The dashboard was gone.
The seats didn’t stand a chance.

This is where most people stop the story.

But this is where ours begins.

No guessing.
No assumptions.

We follow the science.

Not human involvement.
Not smoking materials.
Not fuel leakage.
Not mechanical failure.

The source?

Electrical.

Hidden behind the dashboard.

Arcing.
Extreme heat—over 5,000°C.
Insulation breaking down.
Conductors making unintended contact.

Here’s the uncomfortable truth:

Most fires don’t start where people look.

They start where systems are trusted.
Out of sight.
Rarely questioned.

The incident didn’t create the problem.

It revealed it.

Buildings don’t just “break.”
They warn you first.

A leak that keeps coming back.
A vibration everyone has learned to ignore.
A chiller that “still works” - until it doesn’t.

Most teams don’t miss problems because they’re careless.
They miss them because they see them every day.

Familiarity hides risk.

And when it finally fails - it’s no longer maintenance.

It’s downtime.
It’s cost.
It’s a claim.

We recently broke this down in a short 20-minute discussion - what really happens before and after property failures.

If you manage buildings, assets, or facilities - this will hit close.

Because the warning signs are already there.

When a fire occurs in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing facility, the damage is often far greater than what is visible.

Smoke particles, soot, and contaminated suppression water can spread through ventilation systems, production lines, and even cleanroom environments.

In these industries, even small contamination can affect hygiene standards, equipment reliability, and product safety.

Restoring these facilities requires more than surface cleaning. It involves precision decontamination, environmental testing, and controlled restoration to ensure the facility can safely return to operation.

Early intervention can make a major difference in reducing downtime and preventing secondary damage.

A flood hit this semiconductor plant hard - but what happened next shows the power of coordinated industrial restoration. Over 1,000 pieces of precision equipment underwater, hundreds of millions at stake, and a race against time to avoid global supply chain disruption. The solution? Turn disaster into opportunity.

When a month-old Lamborghini Aventador went up in flames, the forensic investigation revealed shocking facts about even the most expensive cars.

Everyone expects the “Hollywood ending.”

But in restoration + forensics, the real skill is managing expectations — before promises become problems.

We do the science, the engineering, the recovery…

…but the hardest part is explaining what the REAL outcome will be.

(And no, we’re not showing up in leather pants)

When we were first approached in this matter, our role was clear.

Not to speculate.

But to assist the Court with independent, scientific expert evidence.

AGI was appointed as an expert witness in the Cradle Fund case to provide forensic fire and explosion expertise.

As experts, our duty is not to either side - it is to the facts, the science, the methodology, and the Court.

This case is a reminder of an important principle for anyone involved in claims, investigations, or litigation:

Expert evidence must withstand scrutiny.

It is not infallible, and it must be grounded in science - not conjecture.

Standing by the science.
Standing by the facts.

A 47-metre industrial chimney collapsed.

There was no lightning strike.
No design defect.
No boiler failure.

The failure started from the inside.

Internal corrosion reduced the steel wall thickness by more than 50–60% - from 6 mm down to 2.2 mm.

You couldn’t see it from the outside.

Boiler maintenance was routine.
Regulatory inspections were current.

But the chimney itself had never been inspected internally.

A brief gust of wind was enough.
The weakened section buckled.
Then the chimney collapsed.

This wasn’t a freak event.

It was slow material loss meeting a small trigger.

This collapse didn’t happen suddenly.

What failed on the day was obvious.
What failed over time was not.

Our investigation showed the structure didn’t give way because of weather, impact, or design.

It failed after years of internal deterioration - corrosion, moisture ingress, non-functioning components, and accumulated loads quietly exceeding what the system could sustain.

By the time it collapsed, the outcome was already set.

Most losses don’t start with the final event.
They start long before anyone is looking.
