"Purchaser has right to appoint own solicitors". This is something that most of the purchasers are not aware of. However, even if the purchaser is aware of such right, the purchaser is usually not able to preserve his right as the developer would coerce not to sell the unit to the purchaser. Hence, government should look into this kind of issues.

THE purpose of this article is to provide some pointers and guidelines to a purchaser who wishes to appoint his own solicitor when buying a housing accommodation from a housing developer.
