Managing Partner Devkumar leading the Bar Council's Criminal Law Committee on a visit to the Chief Judge of Malaya's office this week.
The Bar Council Criminal Law Committee ("CLC") was invited by YAA Hakim Besar Malaya, Datuk Seri Hashim b Hamzah to attend a discussion on 15 June 2026 regarding the preparation of evidence notes for criminal cases.
CLC was represented by Devkumar, Co-Chairperson; Rajeswari Gunarasa, Senior Officer and Manpritraj Singh s/o Naranjan Singh, Officer. Also present were representatives from the Malaysian Judiciary — YBrs Tuan Azhaniz Teh b Azman Teh, Chief Registrar of the Federal Court of Malaysia; Fara Halina bt Rosli, Special Officer I to YAA Hakim Besar Malaya and YBrs Tuan Mohammed Mokhzani b Mokhtar, Top Management of the Chief Registrar's Office, Registrar of the Lower Court of Malaya, Jusa C.
The discussion served as a meaningful platform for constructive engagement on issues relating to the preparation of evidence notes for criminal cases, transparency, accountability, collaboration and proposed reforms.
