Las mujeres siempre han estado al frente de la búsqueda de personas desaparecidas en todo el mundo. Han recorrido incansablemente calles y caminos, han tocado puertas, han sacado a la luz la verdad, han impulsado la creación de leyes e instituciones.
La resolución de la Asamblea General —impulsada por Siria— constituye un merecido reconocimiento a sus incansables esfuerzos y a su firme exigencia de verdad y justicia.
Es nuestra responsabilidad, como miembros de cooperación y organizaciones internacionales, y también como Estados Miembros, de seguir trabajando junto a ellas para dar respuesta a sus legítimas demandas.
Felicitamos a Siria por haber impulsado este importante y merecido reconocimiento.

Women have always been at the forefront of the search for the missing around the world. They have walked tirelessly, knocked on doors, unearthed the truth, advocated for legislation, and helped establish institutions. The General Assembly resolution—spearheaded by Syria—is a fitting recognition of their tireless efforts and their unwavering demand for truth and justice.
It is our responsibility, as members of the international community and also as Member States, to continue working alongside them to provide answers to their legitimate demands.
We commend Syria for spearheading this important and well-deserved recognition.

لطالما كانت النساء في طليعة البحث عن المفقودين/ات حول العالم. لقد سِرن بلا كلل، وطرقن الأبواب، وكشفن الحقيقة، ودافعن عن سنّ التشريعات، وساعدن في إنشاء المؤسسات. ويُعدّ قرار الجمعية العامة - الذي قادته سوريا - اعترافًا مستحقًا بجهودهنّ الدؤوبة ومطالبتهنّ الثابتة بالحقيقة والعدالة.
