Today, we stand in solidarity with refugees around the world and celebrate their strength, resilience, and determination to build a brighter future.
At Women Palm Tree Organisation (WPTO), we are committed to empowering women, youth, and vulnerable communities in Dzaleka Refugee Camp through education, skills development, livelihoods, protection, and community engagement initiatives.

Last week, we had the privilege of distributing underwear to girls from different schools in Dzaleka Refugee Camp—an important step in supporting their dignity, health, and confidence.
This initiative was made possible through the generous support of the Hilden Charitable Fund under the project “Tailoring, Farming, Training and Education Support for Women and Girls in Dzaleka Refugee Camp.”
Through this project, we continue to make a meaningful impact by supporting girls’ education, including providing school fees for those living without parental care. We believe that every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
Together, we are creating brighter futures and empowering the next generation. 💙

Education should never stop because of menstruation. 🌸
Yesterday, we distributed sanitary pads at Dzaleka Katubza Full Primary School, empowering girls to stay in class with confidence.
With the support of Think Malawi, we are breaking barriers and strengthening girls’ education in Dzaleka Refugee Camp.

🌱 Community Update | Women Palm Tree Organisation 🌱
Yesterday, the Women Palm Tree Organisation received 126 fruit tree seedlings 🍓🍑 to be planted at Freedom Land.
Due to the current situation in Dzaleka Refugee Camp, fruit is very expensive and often unavailable. We are worried that in the coming years our children may face malnutrition. Planting fruit trees is a sustainable solution to improve nutrition and secure a healthier future for our community.
🙏 Thank you to Beta Organisation for your generous donation. Your support means so much to us.
Our goal is to plant 600 fruit trees, but so far we have 126. We are kindly calling on individuals and organisations who can support us to help reach this goal. Together, we can nourish our children and protect their future.
