Because understanding what you’re buying is just as important as finding the right property.

Buying a property with your partner, family member or someone else?

You don’t necessarily have to own it 50/50.

When multiple people purchase a property together, they become co-owners, and the ownership can be divided into equal or different shares — with that split recorded on the deed.

In this episode of Yitaku Asks, Notary Dr. Michael Laferla explains how co-ownership works when buying property in Malta.

This International Women’s Day, at Laferla Notaries, we proudly recognise and give credit to the women who form an essential part of our team and contribute daily to the excellence of our practice.

We are especially proud that our senior partner, Notary Dr. Jeannette Laferla Saliba made history as the first female to obtain the warrant of Notary Public in Malta in 1976, paving the way for future female Notaries in the profession.

Her pioneering achievement paved the way for generations of women in the legal profession.

Happy International Women’s Day from Laferla Notaries. 🌸⚖️
