Mont Lone Yay Paw
Myanmar Traditional Food

Mont Lone Yay Paw is a traditional Myanmar food. It is especially popular during the Myanmar Thingyan festival. Peanut powder and rice flour are mixed together and shaped into small round balls, with a piece of jaggery (palm sugar) placed inside each ball. These balls are then cooked in water.
The rice balls float to the surface, they are taken out and served with shredded coconut. They symbolize joy and love. During Thingyan, sharing Mont Lone Yay Paw with family and friends brings happiness and strengthens social bonds.
During Thingyan celebrations, sharing these Mont Lone Yay Paw among family and friends brings happiness and it is a highly significant traditional Myanmar Thingyan food.
