We are thrilled to welcome Madam Mamphuto Puleng Thakalekoala Jessie to the AWIMA Executive Board as the representative for the Southern African Region!

Madam Jessie is a respected entrepreneur and business leader with over 14 years of experience spanning fleet management, mining, supply chain management, and business development. She is widely recognised for her commitment to advancing women's participation in mining and business across the region.

She serves as:
✅ Founder & Chairperson — LEWIMA (Lesotho Women in Mining Association)
✅ Chairperson — Federation of Lesotho Women Entrepreneurs, Maseru District
✅ Executive Board Member — SAWIMA

✅ Advisory Board Member — African Manufacturers Foundation (AMF)

Her election strengthens AWIMA's mission to advance the participation and economic empowerment of women across Africa's minerals sector. She joins our Executive Board led by President Zenzi Awases and Vice President Rosine Atafeinam Abalo.

On 3 March 2026, the Lesotho Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) hosted a special Associate Members Breakfast Meeting at Mpilo Boutique Hotel as part of activities marking the Chamber’s 50th Jubilee year.

The gathering brought together associate members, development partners and business leaders for a morning of engagement, dialogue, and networking. The session provided an opportunity for the Chamber to connect with its associate membership, reflect on its legacy of supporting enterprise development, and share perspectives on the future of Lesotho’s business landscape.
