Joseph E. Tah – Rising Liberian Football Talent

Joseph E. Tah, born on October 18, 2008, is a promising Liberian footballer who began his journey with FC Lisali in the Gardnerville Subcommittee League, proudly wearing jersey number 11 for the former defending champions, Gulf Lisali.

Initially set to represent River Gee County in last year’s County Meet, Joseph had to miss the tournament due to a life-changing travel opportunity. On January 5, 2025, he departed Liberia for Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, where he continued to pursue his football dream. His talent didn’t go unnoticed — he was soon scouted and is now playing with the Progen Football Academy in Accra, Ghana.

With the upcoming WAFU U-17 Tournament on the horizon, Joseph is hopeful that he will make his debut for Liberia’s U-17 national team this October. His journey stands as a powerful example of the many young Liberians abroad striving to fulfill their football dreams. The Liberia U-17 national team and the Liberia Football Association are encouraged to reach out to and engage with emerging talents like Joseph, who are making significant strides beyond the country’s borders.
