Akalanka had started his music career by releasing his debut music album "SONDURIYA" in 2001 when he was 17.Later he joined with his brother Chathra Serasinghe and created a music video called "Paluwa" in 2008.Both brothers marked their first appearance as playback singers in a film called "NIL DIYA YAHANA" in 2008.Akalanka has sung a song in Chinese for the first time in his career which marked his first international experience in 2007. Today he is a Professionally a Lawyer and also Aquarium Hobbyist.
