[Updates] FDI Moot 2020 Global Rounds (4-9 Nov. 2020)

Thank you for your patience while we finalized our planning and took time to make a difficult choice. Recognizing that the covid-19 pandemic will likely have a sustained impact on the health and safety of our community, as well as on global travel, required quarantines, and team funding, the FDI Moot Directors, Founders and Board have decided to conduct the 2020 FDI Moot Globals virtually (via Zoom) as scheduled in November 2020. While we appreciate that the virtual experience will be quite different from being able to meet in person in Seoul, we are confident that teams and arbitrators will enjoy this new challenge. We will be developing special online events to accompany the Global rounds, to be announced later.

Having also been made aware that some regularly participating law schools have faced obstacles organizing their teams in the usual way, we are extending the registration deadline to 1 August 2020 (one week before the 2nd round of clarification questions are due on 8 August). With the memorials due in mid-September, teams only managing to register by 1 August will still have every chance to succeed in the competition. The extended deadline remains subject to our cap on the total number of teams in the Globals.

For more details and any further updates regarding Covid-19, please visit the FDI Moot website (https://fdimoot.org).
