This week we highlight SrA Clayton Van Winkle who serves as a Military Justice Paralegal:

SrA Clayton Van Winkle is from Frisco, TX. He enlisted in the Air Force in January 2020 and completed the Paralegal Apprentice Course at Maxwell AFB in July 2020. After tech school, SrA Van Winkle PCS'd to Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA where he served as a Military Justice and Civil Law Paralegal.

This Week we highlight Ms. Yoo who currently serves as the Korean Attorney-Advisor:

Ms. Won Jeong Yoo is from Seoul, Korea. She studied at Korea University where she received a degree in Political Science & International Relations. She continued her education graduating from Korea University Law School, receiving a Juris Doctor Degree, and passing the Korean Bar. Before join the legal office Ms. Yoo's background consisted of Criminal, Family, and Real Estate Law. Ms. Yoo currently oversees the FCJ Cases (criminal cases committed by SOFA individuals in Korea) acting as the bridge between the USAF and their Korean legal counterparts. Any questions regarding SOFA or Korean law, Ms. Yoo is the one to talk to.

This week we highlight Major Edstrom who currently serves as the Deputy Staff Judge Advocate:

Major Carrie Edstrom is from Dallas Texas. She studied at Texas A&M University, College Station, receiving a degree in Political Science and Psychology. Maj Edstrom then obtained her Juris Doctorate from the Dedman School of Law, at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas Texas passing the Texas state bar. In addition, Maj Edstrom holds a Masters of Art in Conflict and Dispute Resolution from SMU and a Masters of Law (L.L.M.) in Government Contracts from George Washington University in Washington D.C. This is her second assignment to Korea and she is excited to be here at Osan.

Greetings! To prepare you for the holidays, please see below for our updated Legal Office schedule.

The 51st Fighter Wing Legal Office will be closed on the following dates
- 9 December 2022 – Training (office is always closed the second Friday of every month)

- 23-26 December – Holiday / Family Day

- 2 January 2022 – Holiday

- 3 January 2022 – Wing Training / Resiliency Day



Due to minimal manning, the hours of operation will be 0900-1300 on the following dates:

- 19-22 December and 27-30 December 2022
