A short but meaningful business trip to Singapore.
I visited The Law Society of Singapore, SIAC, and SICC for meetings and discussions. I was particularly impressed by how open and welcoming Singapore’s legal system is to foreign lawyers and legal professionals.

Recently, I had the opportunity to work on the sale of a 1,300-ton-class tugboat.

As part of the transaction, I acted as escrow agent, managed the escrow account, and advised on various aspects of the deal, including the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and the closing process.

It had been quite some time since I last handled a vessel sale transaction, and the experience reminded me why maritime law remains such a fascinating field. Watching a vessel change hands is more than just completing a transaction—it is the beginning of a new voyage.

I sincerely hope that this fine vessel will continue to sail safely and make an even greater impact on the oceans under her new ownership.

On Teachers’ Day, my students handed me small handwritten letters filled with heartfelt words. I was truly touched, and it reminded me that I should work even harder as both a lawyer and an educator.

These days, I am teaching English Marine Insurance Law and Administrative Law at . To be honest, teaching takes a great deal of time and energy, and I sometimes felt burdened trying to balance it with my other work. But after receiving such sincere gifts from my students, I somehow felt a little ashamed for thinking that way.

Moments like this remind me why teaching is always worth it.
