Dentons Hamilton Harrison & Mathews has been named Kenya's IP Firm of the Year at the 2026 Managing Intellectual Property (IP) Awards ceremony, held in London on 1st May 2026. During the same ceremony, our Head of IP, Dr Daniel Wanjau Muriu, was recognised with the award of Kenya's IP Practitioner of the Year.
Managing IP is the leading global directory in the field of IP law. The awards are independently assessed and widely regarded as the gold standard of recognition in IP globally, recognising exceptional legal work and talent.
Receiving both awards in the same ceremony is a moment of profound pride for our firm and for our entire IP practice. To be honoured on this stage, alongside the world's leading IP practices, affirms that what we are building at Dentons Hamilton Harrison & Mathews is truly world-class.
For Dr Wanjau, this recognition reflects not only his deep technical expertise across contentious and non-contentious IP matters, but his vision in shaping a practice that is responsive to the evolving needs of clients operating in Kenya and across the region.
For the firm, being named Kenya's IP Firm of the Year is a validation of our collective commitment to excellence - from the quality of our advice, to the strength of our client relationships, to the depth of talent we have invested in developing. It is also a reflection of our ability to seamlessly combine the resources of the Dentons global network with an intimate understanding of the Kenyan and regional market.
We are grateful to our clients, whose trust continues to inspire everything we do, and to our team, whose dedication makes achievements like this possible.
Congratulations to Dr Wanjau and our entire IP team on these well-earned achievements.
