Read this 🙏🙏💥Every Muslim for Christ
Growing up in Afghanistan, Timothy planned to become an imam. Then a friend gave him a Bible and he began to read. “I was thinking, ‘God is talking to me through this book,’” Timothy said. He secretly met with a pastor but still wasn’t sure what to believe.
Then, Timothy ended up in prison because of a traffic accident. Sitting in his cell, Timothy prayed,
“Oh, Jesus, if you are really the Son of God … please help me.”
That night, he saw Jesus in a dream. The next day, Timothy was set free.
Soon, his entire family came to Christ! They traveled to India to get baptized and then returned to Afghanistan where they established secret home churches throughout their city. “Praise the Lord … I shared the Good News with more than 100 people in Afghanistan.”
Then, in 2021, the Taliban came to power. Timothy made a courageous choice to stay. Then he and his brother-in-law were captured. The Taliban executed his brother-in-law.
They arrested Timothy. “They used 10 kinds of torture on me … the evidence is available on my body now.” Even so, after nine months, Timothy still refused to denounce Jesus. He responded to the Taliban’s beatings with love. “They are beating me, and I responded to them, ‘Brother, brother, please. I love you, brother. Please. I love you, brother.’”
One day, a Taliban commander held a gun to Timothy’s forehead. Stunned by Timothy’s resolve, the commander lowered his gun. “I beat you too much. But you said, ‘I love you.’” That commander helped Timothy escape!
Today, Timothy is safely in another country. Through our Enduring Shepherds Ministry, Timothy focuses exclusively on his underground ministry, knowing that the needs of his family are taken care of. He even stays in touch with the Taliban commander, who recently asked him for prayer.
Because of you, Timothy’s witness is enduring in one of the most hostile places in the world.
