In the recent case of Okore v LVCT Health (Cause E119 of 2024) [2026] KEELRC 805 (KLR), the High Court discussed the position in this regard in the following words: "Under the existing jurisprudence on fixed term contracts, it is settled that where parties enter into a fixed-term contract with a definite end date, the contract ordinarily terminates automatically by effluxion of time."
