WRITING A WILL DOES NOT BRING CLOSER YOUR LAST DAY ON EARTH, IT STREAMLINES YOUR AFFAIRS UPON DEATH.
A will is a document that indicates how the property of the writer should be dealt with upon death. A will can be in any language. You must sign it before at least 2 witnesses who also sign. Let these witnesses be younger than you. The idea is that they must outlive you. If any of the witnesses has a gift under the will, just let a 3rd or a 4th witness sign as additional witnesses. Then keep the will somewhere. You can leave your will with an advocate. You can also deposit it with the court or your bank.
In a will, simply say what property goes to who. Talk about debts and how they should be paid once you are out of this world. It is also wise to appoint an executor. An executor is the person who collects, handles court processes and finally distributes the property to the beneficiaries under the will. At least 2 and a maximum of 4 executors are okay.
WITH A WILL;
You will have total control of how your property will be dealt with while in the grave. From heaven or whatever other place for that matter, you will watch things unfold exactly as you said. Peacefully!
You decide who handles your estate when you die. Without a will, any person may take up the role including the state through the public trustee.
The distribution of your property is quicker. Without a will, family members have to sit and agree how to distribute your estate when you are gone. This is where family members fight and kill each other.
You are also able to provide for deserving persons outside your family. E.g. a child that you have somewhere or a good Kenyan you wish to free from poverty or a charity institution. Without a will, everything goes to your close family members.
See the benefits of making a will. Writing one does not bring closer your last day on earth, it streamlines your affairs upon your death.
