Criminal case 57 of 2016
R vs Fredrick Leliman & 4 Others.
This is a case of cold blooded murder where a Lawyer, his Client and a Taxi driver were tortured and brutally murdered. The victims were ferociously murdered in an attempt to quieten ongoing investigations on police brutality.
The learned Lady Justice Lessit pens off her Judgment with an analogy which explains that whatever is done in the dark comes to light, and yes the dead have a way of speaking for themselves.
The Court has finally sentenced the accused in the following manner:
The 1st accused Fredrick Leliman is sentenced to death.
The 2nd accused Stephen Cheburet sentenced for 30 years .
The 3rd accused Sylvia Wanjiku sentenced for 24 years.
The 5th accused Peter Ngugi sentenced for 20 years
The 4th accused acquitted.
