Actions include killing hundreds of Israeli civilians and taking at least 245 hostages during attacks on 7 October 2023.

Evidence: Includes interviews with survivors and eyewitnesses, CCTV footage, authenticated media, and statements by Hamas members. The prosecutor visited attack sites and confirmed the severe impact on civilians.

Legal Basis: The individuals are charged both as direct perpetrators and as superiors under the Rome Statute articles 25 and 28, for orchestrating and acknowledging responsibility for the attacks.

Accusations Against Israeli Leaders
Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant:

Criminal Responsibility: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant of Israel are accused of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza from 8 October 2023 onwards.

Specific Crimes Charged:

Starvation of civilians, wilfully causing suffering or injury, wilful killing, and directing attacks against civilians.
Use of starvation as a warfare method and other acts of violence against Gaza's civilian population.

Evidence: The prosecution presents evidence of a total siege over Gaza, cutting off essential supplies, including food, water, and electricity, resulting in malnutrition, dehydration, and death among civilians. The prosecution gathered data from eyewitnesses, medical reports, satellite imagery, and other authenticated materials.

Legal Basis: Charges are based on violations of international humanitarian law, emphasizing that the actions taken by Israeli leaders constitute crimes under the Rome Statute.

Call for Accountability

Listen, Refraining from Sharing Children's Photos Online.

Dear Friends,

Let's have a heart-to-heart about something crucial: the habit of sharing children's photos online.

In today's fast-paced digital world, it's easy to overlook the implications of this seemingly innocent act. But let's pause for a moment and consider the bigger picture.

First and foremost, there's the matter of privacy. Every person, no matter their age, deserves a level of privacy. Yet, by sharing detailed snapshots of a child's life online, we unintentionally or simply without care strip them of this basic right, opening them up to unwanted attention and potential risks.

Then, there's the issue of consent. Unlike adults, children don't fully grasp the consequences of having their lives plastered across social media. By making decisions for them about what to share online, we might be overstepping boundaries and undermining their autonomy.

But perhaps most concerning is the danger of exploitation. Once those photos are out there, they're vulnerable to all sorts of misuse, from identity theft to cyberbullying. It's a scary thought, but one we can't afford to ignore.

And let's not forget about online predators. Posting pictures of children, especially with location tags, could inadvertently put them in harm's way.

In short, sharing children's photos online requires careful consideration and responsibility. As guardians of their digital presence, it's up to us to tread carefully and prioritize their safety above all else.

Yesterday, on the 21st day of February 2024, I had the privilege of sitting down with a wise senior gentleman who shared some invaluable counsel with me. His words may echo truths we've heard before, but the way he expressed them felt like a breath of fresh air.

He said, "Nature holds countless lessons for us all. So, let's embrace life's teachings through nature, just like eager students. Let's learn from every twist and turn. Remember, success isn't solely about talent; it's about the commitment to grow and learn." 🌱

He drew inspiration from Ecclesiastes 9, quoting:

"I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all." - Ecclesiastes 9:11 (KJV)

Friends, may we all embrace the journey of learning and growth.
