Today, I launched three transformative education initiatives that mark a new chapter for Trans Nzoia. Through the Ukombozi School Milk Program, 43,336 ECDE learners will now receive milk twice a week, providing them with the nourishment they need to thrive.
We are also making significant investments in schools and vocational training by improving infrastructure, increasing tuition support to Kshs 13,000 per trainee, and partnering with Tools to Work to equip our training centers with modern tools. Every trainee will receive new equipment free of charge upon completing their training, empowering them to start income-generating ventures.
Additionally, we have disbursed Kshs 36.2M in bursaries to 7,191 bright but needy students as part of the first phase. To our young people, work hard—education empowers and pays!
Finally, we are laying the foundation for a county university in partnership with Kibabii University, bringing higher education closer to home. This is just the beginning of a brighter future for Trans Nzoia.
