The High Court at Machakos on 7th May, 2020 issued a judgement to a Petition lodged against the Governor & County Government of Machakos for issuing directions that pharmacies operating within a kilometer radius from the county hospital be closed and their licenses be revoked immediately.
Kemei J ruled in favour of the Governor & the County holding that the petitioners had not challenged the validity of the laws that the County had relied upon in issuing the directions, thus the directions were not unlawful.

Safaricom PLC through the judgement of the High Court at Nairobi on 11th March, 2020 won a copyright infringement claim brought against it by Omare & Partners. Justice Korir of the High Court at Nairobi in his ruling on 3rd April, 2020 dismissed an Application seeking to refer the determination of the main suit to the Chief Justice to appoint an uneven number of judges, not less than 3 to adjudicate on.
