The Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA) will implement a four-day workweek (Monday–Thursday) starting March 9, 2026, following a directive from the Office of the President of the Philippines.

Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Friday: Closed until further notice

Clients and stakeholders are advised to plan their visits and transactions within these operating days.

The Department of Tourism together with the National Commission of Senior Citizens has launched the Tourism Legacy and Livelihood Program — giving senior citizens the opportunity to become accredited community-based tour guides.

After interviews and a week-long training (with lectures + mock tours), they can officially guide visitors in their communities.

We love this idea. Who better to share local stories, culture, and history than those who have lived it?

A meaningful way to promote tourism and empower our seniors. 💛

Metro Manila heat lately? ☀️

There are some surprisingly good private pool stays just a few hours away — Tanay, Antipolo, Lipa, Amadeo, Pampanga, Batangas. Different budgets. Same idea: quick reset without boarding a plane.

One thing we notice with many expats and long-stay visitors in the Philippines — flexibility matters.
Sometimes you don’t need an international trip. Just space, quiet, and a pool for the weekend.

If you’re based here (full-time or part-time), having that option within driving distance makes a difference.
