The Kawasaki International Association (hereafter “KIAN”) creates its Facebook account in order to offer information, both domestic and abroad, which is relevant and useful for the citizens and the foreign residents of Kawasaki City to promote international exchange and mutual understanding at grass-roots level, and also to offer information about the international exchange activities taking p
lace in various communities in Kawasaki City.
2. Operational management
KIAN is responsible for the operational management of this Facebook account according to the ‘Terms of Service’ of Facebook, Inc.
3. Operation Time
The status is usually to be updated irregularly between 9:30 and 16:30 (except for Sundays, national holidays, and the New Year’s vacation from December 29 to January 3). Poster

5. Access to the pages and Acceptance of User Request
KIAN accepts a user request by his or her clicking “like” on this Facebook post.
6. Other Provisions
(1) KIAN is responsible for the data management of these pages including comments posted by the users. However, it does not guarantee that KIAN will respond to those comments. (2) KIAN does not ‘like’ information or articles posted on other pages. However, KIAN can ‘share’ useful information from reliable sources such as Japanese government and prefectures along with Kawasaki City. (3) KIAN welcomes any comment, “Share” and “Like!” on this Facebook post. (4) KIAN can remove posted comments listed below that may be regarded as inappropriate without notifying the users:
・Comments that may infringe a law, ordinance, or other regulations;
・Comments that are contrary to public order or morality;

・Comments that include advertisements for profit-making purpose;
・Comments of which the contents are fallacious or significantly different from the fact referred to;
・Comments that include discrimination on any ground such as race, religion, political or other opinion, or that may incite these kinds of discrimination;
・Comments that may solicit or promote illegal activities;
・Comments that may be in violation of the provisions of the ‘Terms of Service’ of Facebook, Inc.
7. Additional Provisions
(1) KIAN reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, these pages or any part thereof at any time without notice. (2) The handling of the provided personal information is based on the operational management policy for the website of the Kawasaki International Center as well as that of KIAN. (3) Other sorts of operation of these pages are subject to the ‘Guideline for the Use of Social Media of Kawasaki City’. (4) Intellectual Property Right: With regard to the handling of intellectual property rights, the copyright of any content posted on these pages such as photograph, article and illustration, belongs to the original author. Unauthorised reproduction or copy of any content in these pages is prohibited without author’s permission unless it is exceptionally permitted as in the cases of reproduction for the purpose of personal use and of quotations under the Copyright law.
