The Jersey Fraud Prevention Forum seeks to develop a coordinated and strategic approach to the protection of the Island’s general public from investment frauds and scams between the agencies concerned. The agencies which form part of the Fraud Prevention Forum are the States of Jersey Police, the Jersey Financial Services Commission, Digital Jersey, Jersey Post, Age Concern, States of Jersey Trading Standards, Jersey Consumer Council and the Honorary Police.

👉 Scammers are calling Jersey residents and businesses pretending to be your bank and are trying to obtain your sensitive security details.
👉 Be wary of unexpected phone calls and never share sensitive security information

Fraud warning: Impersonation of bank fraud teams

Following our recent press release, we have become aware of a further cold-calling scam primarily targeting Jersey residents and Jersey-based businesses by pretending to represent various banks and bank fraud teams.

Be vigilant if you receive calls claiming to be from your bank or any other financial institution.

👉 Scammers are calling Jersey residents pretending to be HSBC and are trying to obtain personal and banking details.

👉 They are using the phone number +44 (0)800 028 6889, but may use a range of different phone numbers.

Fraud warning: impersonation of HSBC via cold calling

Jersey residents are being contacted by fraudsters using the phone number +44 (0)800 028 6889. These callers pretend to be HSBC and try to obtain personal and banking details. The fraudulent phone number is not associated with HSBC.

Be vigilant if you receive calls claiming to be from your bank or any other financial institution.

Fraud happens when your card details are used online or over the phone.

👁️ Routinely check your bank statements, small test payments are an early warning sign
🛍️ Only shop on trusted, secure websites
💳 Avoid saving card details unless necessary

Before you tap your card, take a second look. 👀

Criminals sometimes tamper with cash machines to steal card details and PINs.

🔍 Check the machine for anything loose, damaged or unusual
🫣 Cover the keypad when entering your PIN
🚶‍♂️ If it doesn’t feel right, walk away and use another machine

Keep an eye on your bank statements and report anything strange straight away.

✅ Use strong, unique passwords and turn on two factor authentication
👀 Check your statements regularly for anything unfamiliar
🚫 Remember, your bank will never rush you or ask for full login details or one‑time codes

Anyone who has had dealings with the impersonating entity is asked to contact [email protected].

Scammers are impersonating Titan Wealth Holdings Limited, part of the Titan Wealth Group with an office based in Jersey. The impersonating entity is advertising a trading platform for investments in forex, commodities, stock and indices markets.

The JFSC confirms the impersonating entity and websites are not connected in any way to the genuine Jersey registered company, Titan Wealth Holdings Limited based at First Floor Durell House, 28 New Street, St Helier, Jersey, JE2 3RA, nor the JFSC regulated company, Titan Wealth (CI) Limited, based at Titan House, Liberation Square, St Helier, Jersey, JE2 3NA.

Scammers offer instant loans with “guaranteed approval,” then ask for an upfront fee. The loan doesn’t exist, and once you pay it, they vanish.

Make sure you stay protected when borrowing:
✅ Only use established and trusted lenders
💳 Never pay an upfront fee
🔍 Research the lender before you apply
