As a local Law firm we think it is important to advise Clients of all available remedies, including where available ancient Jersey customary law options.
Advocate Mistry and Advocate Falle of Mistry Law advised on and witnessed the raising of a Clameur De Haro in Trinity to stop in its tracts a Tractor ordered by the Parish of Trinty to cut down our client's hedgerow on a road which our client says has encroached upon her property. The matter now rests with the Royal Court, which will sit on the 22nd November 2023 to determine.

A mechanical hedge-cutter was, quite literary, stopped in its tracks when a Trinity parishioner invoked a 1,000-year-old procedure that halted work immediately.

The Covid 19 (Signing of Instruments) (Jersey) Regulations 2020 came into force today, and make temporary arrangements for the signing, witnessing and swearing of Jersey Wills via the use of Video Link.
