La vastissima esperienza acquisita in tanti decenni garantisce efficienza, qualità e rapidità. TECNOLOGY
Our activities are organised so that we can handle large quantities of part-finished material in the shortest possible time. There are five stages in the line dedicated to bleaching. Apart from the first and the last (the creation of huge rolls through an area used for opening bales, stitching
cloth and drying, which is done by the tentering machine),the other three stages occur in continuous bleaching lines. The first area is where the fabric is "boiled off", followed by the bleaching and lastly the blueing. This is all done on a 360cm width of cloth. The whole production goes on for twenty four hours each day in a continuous cycle. The rest of the work is done in the industrial premises at Finissaggio Pigni. The fabric is printed here, then it undergoes a series of finishings to enhance it, such as starching, chintzing, calendering, raising, feather finish and flame retardant treatment. All this work is done by modern machinery such as a tentering machine, calenders with teflon rollers and raising machines, for a maximum width of 330 useable cm of cloth. ECOLOGY
The Company has built an impressive purification plant made of 6 thousand square metres of reservoirs for 24 thousand cubic metres of water (1500 a day). This puts Candeggio Valle Olona in Table A instead of in Table C, because we respect the limits for discharging into superficial waters, which are much tighter
than those for discharging into the public sewerage. We can justify this huge commitment in terms of investment from a legal point of view, but it also involves a cultural factor, and one which demonstrates our strong ties to the land. Working along these lines, we also plan to install a complex avant-garde system for cutting down on smoke emissions.
