Legal Services Center (LSC) on 4th February 2019 had organized a Free Legal Counselling programme in the university premises. The Program was inaugurated by Honโ€™ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Surya Prakash. The main objective of this programme is to give free Legal Aid and Advice to the people. Advocate Shri K. Muralidhar & Associates from the District Legal Service Authority have counselled the clients on various legal issues. Legal Counselling helps the clients to understand and overcome their legal issues in the best way possible. Clients have put forth their grievances on various legal matters which included Matrimonial, Land acquisition, Tenancy, Domestic Violence issues and a few more. As a solution, the counsellors advised the clients, who needed a quick remedy, to proceed with ADR (Alternate Dispute Resolution) which includes Mediation and Negotiation for speedy disposal of the issue and other clients to follow the Court procedure where they explained about the same in detail. on completion of the programme, the LSC has felt that there is a need to provide awareness to the people regarding the laws pertaining to various legal issues and decided to do the same in order to solve the problems of the people in the villages surrounding the University.
