The new criminal law has been poorly drafted and lacks logical coherence. New students will need to learn this new law, but for ongoing cases, they have no applicable knowledge. Consequently, experienced experts in the old law are suddenly relegated to the status of interns because they lack experience with the new legislation. Even judges now find themselves unfamiliar and inexperienced with these new laws. Additionally, practices like handcuffing, previously considered inhumane under the old laws, have now become standard. It's unclear what is happening with this abrupt and confusing shift.
