Yesterday, I lost my childhood friend, my brother & one of the strongest pillars of my life Mushtaq Ahmad Wani.

From the days of childhood to the beginning of my political journey & till yesterday, he stood beside me through every phase of life. In every struggle, every hardship & every success, Mushtaq was always there with loyalty, love & support. Some people become friends, but some become a part of your soul & Mushtaq was one of them.

Today the memories remain but the silence left behind by his absence is heartbreaking. It is difficult to accept that the person who walked with me for all these years is no longer among us.

I will forever miss your presence, your sincerity, your strength & the bond we shared. A part of my life went away with you yesterday, brother.

May Allah grant you the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous & give strength to your family & all of us to bear this immense loss. You will always live in our hearts, Mushtaq.
