Sitamarhi is well connected by road network from the adjoining districts.Major roads are NH 77 & NH 104. However construction work on Nh 77 is going on for making it double lane. Sitamarhi is situated on "Darbhanga Narkatiyaganj" railway line with sitamarhi being the biggest railway station of district.Another broad gauge line between Muzaffarpur & Sitamarhi is under construction.
