NAU has decided to hold classes on campus for Fall 2020 intake, with the slight hiccup of visa dates not opening, in case visa dates open and students are granted visa, they can join the classes in person.
Online Classes: If the Visa dates do not open, students can start classes online and take up to 6 credit hours for Computer Science Students and 3 credit hours for other majors. The costs of online classes will be significantly lower than in-person attendance.
Deferal: Students can easily defer their admission to Spring 2021 by sending University an email. Ideally, they should apply for deferment as late as possible ideally by late June or early July.
Scholarship: All International Excellence Awards ( scholarships) provided to students in Fall 2020 who wish to defer to Spring 2021 will be honored.
I-20's: No need to send the documentations again in case students wish to defer, Fall 2020 documents should be sufficient for issuing I- 20's for Spring 2021. only an email request for issuing an I - 20 for spring 2021.
Financials: Students are encouraged to submit their financials to FAU and get their I-20's issued for Fall 2020 or fresh I-20's will be issued for Spring 2021 if the students wish to defer. The financials can be submitted via soft copy through email so no courier is required for this. No deposit will be required for I-20's.
