🎓 An Appreciation That Means More Than a Certificate! ⚖️

Grateful to Dr. D. Y. Patil Law College, Pimpri, Pune and the Training & Placement Cell for this Letter of Appreciation following my participation in the Placement Meet – “Guru Margadarshan” held on 12 September 2026.

It was a privilege to interact with aspiring law students and share practical insights, guidance and perspectives from the legal profession and litigation practice.

As advocates, our responsibility is not limited to courtrooms. Bridging the gap between law school and real-world legal practice is equally important. ⚖️📚

I look forward to continuing meaningful interactions with law students, interns, law colleges and young legal professionals and contributing to their professional journey.

🙏 Thank you Dr. Rajlakshmi Wagh, Principal, Dr. D. Y. Patil Law College, Pimpri, Pune, and the entire Training & Placement Cell for the appreciation and opportunity.

If you are a law student or law college looking for practical legal guidance, internships, career interaction or industry-oriented sessions, let’s connect.

Extra-Marital Affair of Wife: What Are the Legal Rights of the Husband?

An extra-marital affair may have serious emotional and legal consequences for a marriage. Under Indian law, an affair by itself is not a criminal offence. However, it can become a relevant factor in matrimonial proceedings.

If a husband can establish that his wife has voluntarily engaged in an extra-marital relationship, he may rely on it as a ground to seek divorce under the applicable personal law, subject to proving the allegations with credible evidence before the court. Mere suspicion or allegations are generally insufficient.

In addition to divorce proceedings, an extra-marital relationship may also influence issues such as maintenance, child custody, and other matrimonial disputes, depending on the facts of the case and the applicable law. Every case is decided on its own merits, and the court considers the evidence presented by both parties.

If you are facing a matrimonial dispute involving allegations of an extra-marital affair, it is advisable to seek legal guidance to understand your rights and the legal remedies available under Indian law.

⚖️ Section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 – Know Your Rights

Has your spouse left the matrimonial home without a valid reason?

Under Section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, the aggrieved spouse can file a petition for Restitution of Conjugal Rights before the Family Court.

✅ Applicable when one spouse withdraws from the company of the other without reasonable cause.

📌 The Court may direct both spouses to resume cohabitation if there is no legal justification for living separately.

⚠️ However, if the spouse has valid reasons such as cruelty, domestic violence, adultery, or any other lawful ground, the Court may reject the petition.

📖 If the decree under Section 9 is not complied with for one year or more, it may become a ground for seeking divorce under the Hindu Marriage Act.

Every matrimonial dispute is unique. Always seek legal advice before initiating any legal proceedings.
