It is really very hard to see that those who are defending the others right or protecting others from the social evil is not able to save her own. This is not because she is not capable to save it but, because she had faith on this fraternity and went there. Yes, we are talking about a lady lawyer from Saket Court, Delhi who has been r***d by her own colleague senior lawyer in his chamber. What is so worse than that this female lawyer has been r***d in a temple of Justice where everyone comes with hope for their protection of rights from the social evil. Is there any place where women can feel safe?? Shame on such a lawyer who has this type of mentality. This is the need of hour to understand the real solution of these type of problems. Rather than restricting her, refrain the boys to commit such kind of offences. Respect every girl in the way they want respect for their own daughters, sisters, wife and others. let try it once and wait for the result we are pretty much sure that it will work out and no. of this type of incidents will decrease.

At the age of playing with dolls or going to school for learning something she is forced to take the responsibilities which she isn’t prepared for. she have to perform so many role at the same time as of spouse, daughter in law, sister-in-law, mother or many more….. Which eventually leads to isolation and depression.
The girls who marry at the early age are not aware of the fact about the pregnancy and the related subject due to which the baby born from such mother is suffering from the malnutrition and low weight which turns into death some time. Think about the mother who suffered that much of pain and ultimately loss her baby.
Every people wants that their daughter live happily without any shorts of stress but at the same time their own act hamper her life a lot which he can’t even imagine at the time of doing. I think we should make a change by just making one person aware about the consequences of such practices.
The people who thinks that the practice of child marriage can reduce the happening of r**e or any inevitable accident needs to change their mind and forced their child for schooling not for marriage.✌️

With women working alongside men in all spheres, women empowerment has become a buzzword. They profess an independent outlook, whether they indulge inside their home or working outside. With steady increase in the number of working women, they have gained financial independence, which has given them confidence to lead their own lives and build their own identity. They are successfully taking up diverse professions to prove that they are second to none in any respect. But while doing so, women also take care to strike a balance between their commitment to their profession as well as their home and family. They are playing multiple roles in life of others with remarkable harmony and ease. With equal opportunities to work, they are functioning to render all possible efforts in meeting the deadlines and targets set in their respective professions. Women empowerment is not limited to urban, working women but women in even remote towns and villages are now increasingly making their voices heard loud and clear in society. They are no longer willing to play a second fiddle to their male counterparts. Educated or not, they are asserting their social and political rights and making their presence felt, regardless of their socio-economic backgrounds and are making unmapped contribution While it is true that women, by and large they are in much better condition as compared to prevailing earlier but unfortunately, many of them face exploitation and harassment which can be of diverse types: emotional, physical, mental and sexual. They are often subjected to r**e, abuse and other forms of physical and intellectual violence to which we are not oblivious.
Women empowerment, in the truest sense, will be achieved only when there is attitudinal change in society with regard to womenfolk, treating them with proper respect, dignity, fairness and equality. The rural areas of the country are, by and large, steeped in a feudal and medieval outlook, refusing to grant women equal say in the matters of their education, marriage, dress-code, profession and social interactions.
So this is why this Niyati Welfare is a new step towards women empowerment with the vision to spread women empowerment in progressive as well as backward areas of our vast country

India has a long list when it comes to sexual harassment, from the case of Vishakha, All India Radio case of 2013 or Air India case etc. for harassment at workplace to the brutal r**e cases like Jalgaon r**e case, Ajmer gang r**e, custodial r**e case of Mathura, Delhi gang r**e etc. Sexual harassment is not a recent phenomenon, it existed since centuries. Newspaper headlines about the harassment and r**e cases have become so common. It is therefore, very evident to say that the women need to be protected.
Women, in our society, often lacks the power. We all have heard the cases where the newspaper states that the woman who claims to be harassed or inappropriately touched is lying to tarnish the image of the abuser. It makes so difficult for the women to report and to prove her innocence. The Mathura R**e case is an example which shows that even the place which should be safe, where servants are there to prevent crime, is actually not safe. In workplace women choose to resign rather than raising their voice against sexual harassment. They are afraid to raise voice against the harasser thinking about the negative consequences and the tag which the society will stick to her. The act not only hurt the victim but also the family and makes them unacceptable in the society. It is very necessary to fight the situation. Silence is not the way to get out of this issue. Rather the action should not be ignored which may escalate the issue. The matter of sexual harassment is such a serious issue since long.
There are various causes for the existing situation of women in India. The most important and serious cause is the culture and values system and the relative power and status of the men and women in our society. It is very necessary to educate people at each and every level, about their legal rights and provisions which are there in the Constitution. There is a need to spread awareness among women about their rights and the abusers about the consequences. It is responsibility of the society to prevent such incidents and to make a safe place for every woman to live with dignity. Swarnika Gupta

The picture depicts a lot and the words will fall short to capture its glory. Yet this short and precise article is to acknowledge and admire the effort they(women) put in every work that has been put up to them. No farsightedness is required to get on its practical aspect; she being the one we all hold dearest, that is our mother, yet, undervalued. The very famous locution goes as “Behind every successful man, lies a women” relatable by application of some ingenuity. This is because for him, she handles everything. Since morning, till night, from managing house to her work place, she does it all and yet, a tag of work sham sticks. This was not enough and she has been a dump zone of frustrations and accusations, for being a perfect cover of fallacies of others. The backbreaking work she does, remain unacknowledged and which deserve much more recognition gets reduce to a mere stereotypical stigma. She demands equality for she wants to be equal, unaware of her being outclass above others. This is the ultimate truth that we as a patriarchal society must accept and must see their contribution in our life, surrounding and society along with giving them the proper recognition that they deserve.

“Menstrual blood is the only source of blood that is not traumatically induced. Yet in the society this is the most hidden blood, the one so rarely spoken of and never seen, except privately by women!”
-Judy Grahn
While growing up, nobody told me anything about it, till I myself experienced it. Yes, this is how menstruation or commonly called ‘periods’ are tabooed in society. It is very ironical how that something that is so natural, happens in a cycle, is a part of every woman’s life, is so shushed about, as if it some kind of an illegal activity, that should not be known to anyone except you. It pains me that how the blood coming out of a woman’s body is called as ‘impure blood’ despite the fact that the same menstrual cycle is responsible for the origin of life!
The whole thing, “periods being a taboo”, does not only have the social problems but also biological problems, which the women suffer just because they cannot tell anyone that they are having their periods. All the hormonal changes that are effects of periods are not taken seriously, and very often women get to hear that this happens to you every month, you must now be habitual of it, it must not be a problem anymore. The suffering and pain caused during periods, both physical and mental are very underrated by the society. This ‘not talking about it’ has a lot of ill effects, where girls cannot tell anyone as to what kind of pain do they suffer, or how often does it happen, what might be the health problems regarding it, and this is a matter of concern because just like other biological activities may have health issues attached, periods may have too. And, since girls and women are restricted from taking the name of periods in front of anyone, how can this be expected that they will share the problems associated with it, that they are suffering.
Since, periods itself is a taboo, the problems related to it are also a taboo, and people avoid talking about it too. For example, the sanitary pads, are bought by the women, and carried in a black carry bag, or something opaque, so that nobody could see what they are carrying. This is the case in the urban areas where people are supposed to be educated anhave a broadened thinking. Talking about the problems in rural areas, the availability of sanitary pads, and medicines are very scarce, and people opt for other alternatives which are very unhealthy, such as, using clothes again and again after washing them, because of scarcity of clothes, or using one cloth for a long time, or using soil or sand etc,. This things cause several infections in women, and since, medication is also a luxury for them, they are unable to cure it, and this result in several fatalities. Same is the case for the women, who cannot afford sanitary pads.
The problems related to periods are ubiquitous but the other problem that goes hand in hand, and is the cause, is that people don’t talk about it. Discussing about periods, and considering it to be an issue of importance is the need of the hour. Society needs to be open minded regarding the same, and be supportive of the girls and women regarding periods. Several other solutions could be providing sanitary pads at a lower rates, or free of cost to the ones who cannot afford it. In the long run however, other measures like educating girls and boys at a young age regarding menstruation and making the people the aware regarding menstruation and the problems related to it.
