In “CRA No. 247 of 2006 Mazidul Miah @ Mia & Ors. Vs. State of West Bengal ” Calcutta High Court held that :
Causing cruelty to deceased victim for her black complexion even after her marriage by the in-law’s members would definitely attract Section 498A/34 I.P.C. against the in-law’s members, including accused husband.

In the case “Sh. Bhaskar das Vs Renu Das Mat Appl. 20/2019”, Gauhati High Court observes that a wife’s refusal to wear ‘sakha and sindoor’ will project her to be unmarried and/or signify her refusal to accept the marriage with the appellant- Husband. Such categorical stand of the respondent points to the clear intention of the respondent that she is unwilling to continue her conjugal life with the appellant. Under such circumstances compelling the appellant husband to continue to be in matrimony with the respondent wife may be construed to be harassment inflicted by the respondent upon the appellant and his family members.

On 15.16.2020 while hearing a matter, Supreme Court recommend to the Central Government to consider enacting a legislation pertaining to appointment of guardians for persons lying in a comatose state, as no remedy is provided in any statute to persons in comatose/vegetative state, unlike legislation for appointment of guardians for minors and persons with other disabilities, including like mental retardation etc.On 15.16.2020 while hearing a matter, Supreme Court recommend to the Central Government to consider enacting a legislation pertaining to appointment of guardians for persons lying in a comatose state, as no remedy is provided in any statute to persons in comatose/vegetative state, unlike legislations for appointment of guardians for minors and persons with other disabilities, including like mental retardation etc.

In Samir Sajjad Ahmed vs Mohammed Ayub on 19 February, 2018 said that on the plain phraseology of the Section, it is clear that a suit filed after coming into force of the Constitution for vindication of rights related to worship of status, office or property is maintainable in civil court and it would be duty of the court to decide even purely religious questions if they have a material bearing on the right alleged in the plaint regarding worship, status or office or property.

The Central Government issued Insolvency and Bankruptcy (Amendment) Ordinance 2020 to effectively suspend the operation of Sections 7, 9 & 10 of Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code with respect to default arising on or after March 25 for a period of 6 months, extendable up to maximum of one year from such date as may be notified.

"U.P recovery of damage to public and private property ordinance 2020" approved by U.P state cabinet .
Finance minister of the state namely Mr. Suresh Kumar Khanna said that the ordinance is based on supreme Court's Oder in criminal writ no. 77/2017 in which court specified that a strong law is required to prevent damages to public property during protest, riots, bandh etc.
