The Foundation for Economic Growth and Welfare (EGROW Foundation) is a non-profit, multi-disciplinary public policy organization engaged in independent, high-quality research in the areas of macroeconomic policy, public welfare, national security and diplomacy. EGROW Foundation, established on Oct 31, 2018 is a policy-oriented think-tank in NCR, India. The vision of EGROW is to be a premier think tank globally, showcasing India’s research while contributing to formation of sound public policies, especially in India and the region. The aim of EGROW is to provide research-based support to policy making in India.
EGROW Board: Dr. Arvind Virmani, PhD (Harvard), former CEA, GoI, and former ED (2009 to 2012), IMF is the Chairman (on leave since taking over as member NITI Aayog); Dr Charan Singh, PhD (UNSW) and Post Doctorate (Harvard and Stanford - August 2003 to January 2006), after working at the RBI (1984-2009), IMF (2009 to 2012), and IIM Bangalore (2012 to 2018) is the Founder Director and CEO. Other Founder Directors are Dr. Ashok Vishandass, former Chairman CACP, GoI; Dr. Rattan Chand, World Bank and National Monitor, MHFW, GoI; and Col M.P. Singh (Retd), PhD, expert on geopolitics.
EGROW Advisers: Dr. Surjit Bhalla, Former ED, IMF; Prof Ashima Goyal, member MPC of the RBI and former member of PMEAC; and Shri Suman Bery, Former DG, NCAER and former member of PMEAC (on leave since taking over as VC, NITI).
EGROW Foundation has proactively designed a two days training program for the Legal Professionals which will provide an ideal platform to acquaint themselves with important issues relating to the Finance, Banking and Economics.
The training sessions will be a mix of lectures, case, studies and discussions. The training will cover topics like Contemporary Economic, Financial & Banking Developments & Challenges; various technical terminologies used in banking sector; Acts like negotiable instruments act, RBI act, PMLA; Regulatory framework under IBC, NCLT; NPAs-their life cycle, management and impact; Methods of recovery through civil courts, DRT, NCLT and best practises; Valuation of assets with respect to security, Legal process of Mergers & Acquisitions, etc.
The training will be imparted by experts with long experience of working in the economics, finance and banking sector.
The training is scheduled to be held on April 12-13, 2023 at SCOPE Convention Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi and the last date for filing nominations is March 31, 2023. The training fee and other details are given in the enclosed Brochure.
