Subject: Complaint against CM Arvind Kejriwal & founder of Aam Admi Party for violating Model Code of Conduct and Misleading the public of New Delhi
Sir,
This complaint is regarding the violation of model code of conduct of election 2019 and misleading the voters of Delhi to vote for Aam Admi Party candidate.
Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, the CM of Delhi, belonging to Aam Aadmi Party is running a campaign cm advertisement on radio and playing across radio channels in Delhi. In the advertisement he is speaking a blatant and unconstitutional lie. He is appealing the voters of Delhi that vote for his party for making Delhi 'Purna Rajya' status for Delhi, he is telling the people of Delhi that “unlike all states Delhi voters only have 'half the vote'. This is legally untrue and creating confusion in the mind of voters as everyone in India has one and only one full vote.
The statement that people of Delhi has “Half Vote” is completely misleading for voters, this statement leading to a lot of rumours and unhealthy debates. This is also creating confusion among the voters. As a CM, people will tend to take his word and question the Constitution of India itself.
We request the Election Commission to direct Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, CM of Delhi, to stop the misleading advertisement with immediate effect. Please informed the complainant about the steps taken by the Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, CM of Delhi
