⚖️🏠 Supreme Court's Historic Verdict: “A Tenant Can NEVER Become the Owner!” 💥 In a major ruling, the Supreme Court of India has declared that no tenant, regardless of how many years they stay — whether 5 or 50 — can ever claim ownership of a rented property. 🏡✨ This important judgment came in the Jyoti Sharma vs. Vishnu Goyal case, where the Court firmly stated: “A tenant lives in a property only with the owner's permission, therefore, the rule of adverse possession does not apply.” In other words — staying in a rented house for a long time doesn’t make it yours. 🚫 The Court also clarified that the owner always holds the legal rights to their property and can rightfully reclaim it at any time. ⚖️ This landmark decision is being seen as a big win for property owners across the country. It sets a strong precedent to stop false ownership claims by tenants and reinforces that ownership is defined by law — not by years of occupancy.
