What Sucheta Dalal has said in the video in the matter is absolutely on the point Exchanges, Clearing Corporation SEBI talk about making moribund system by which no broker can escape their surveillance system but cases like Anugrah, Karvy and others in last 2 years have time and again showed that their systems are a big failure.
The Clearing Corporation in this case have redulation in place but still Edelwise Who is professional broker has sold clients shares which were pledged to them.
Isnt it a responsibility of the clearing house and the professional clearing member whose pledged shares are being sold.
The Regulators have forgotten about their moral responsibility towards the poor investors, who are not able to engage big lawyers and firms when ,they had already lost the shares and are staring at big court battles ahead of them .
