Here is what PM Modi had to say in his hour long address to the Chartered Accountants Community:

Its a matter of pride that CA day and GST implementation day are same.
CAs are responsible to maintain economic health of the country.
He asked - Whom did you work during demonetisation? Client or Country?
Some economic doctor (referring to CAs) must have helped over three lakh companies whose transaction are under scanner.
In last 11 years only 25 CAs have been convicted and over 1400 cases are pending.
CA’s signature carries immense faith. Its even more powerful than a PM’s signature. He asked not to break trust placed on CA community.

People talk of the big 4 accounting firms. Sadly, there is no Indian firm there. By 2022, let us have a big 8, where first 4 firms are Indian!
