Starting November 3, 2026, Canada is introducing new CRS points for eligible high-wage job offers and Canadian work experience.

🔹 Up to 100 additional points for qualifying high-wage job offers.

🔹 Up to 70 additional points for eligible Canadian work experience.

🔹 LMIA requirement removed for qualifying job offers under the applicable rules.

Canada has announced changes to its Express Entry system, with a new Labour Market Integration Factor (LMIF) scheduled to take effect on November 3, 2026.

Here’s what you need to know 👇

🔹 Up to 100 additional CRS points for eligible high-wage job offers.

🔹 Up to 70 additional points for qualifying Canadian work experience in eligible high-wage occupations.

🔹 LMIA requirement removed for qualifying job offers under the relevant Express Entry provisions.

🔹 Your occupation matters: Eligibility depends on the applicable wage thresholds and occupational classification, not just your salary or job title.

💡 What does this mean for you?

If Canada PR is on your mind, it may be time to reassess your Express Entry profile. Your occupation, work experience and eligibility could make a difference to your immigration strategy.

Remember, not every high-paying job will qualify, and additional CRS points do not guarantee an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
