We are proud to share that Bar & Brief Attorneys successfully represented the producers of the animated feature film "Mahaprabhu Jagannath" before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, securing urgent relief that enabled the film's nationwide release.
Late on 15 July 2026, Ele Animations Pvt. Ltd. received an order from the Hon'ble Orissa High Court staying the pan-India release of its CBFC-certified animated film. With the release imminent, our team worked through the night to prepare and file a Special Leave Petition, which was mentioned before the Hon'ble Supreme Court the very next morning.
After hearing all parties, the Hon'ble Supreme Court granted leave and modified the impugned order, permitting the film's nationwide release on or after 28 July 2026.
We are grateful to our client for the trust reposed in us and privileged to have assisted in securing timely relief in a matter where every hour mattered.

As a part of an initiative spearheaded by Adv Ksh*tijaa Wadatkar Wankhede, our Managing Partner, Ravi Suryawanshi, along with Advocate Ramesh Patil, Advocate Fazal Theba, and Advocate Nitesh Bhutekar, had the opportunity to meet Hon’ble Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, to raise critical concerns affecting the legal fraternity.

A representation was submitted to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, highlighting the key deficiencies in the Advocates Protection Bill, 2021, and urgent need for stronger safeguards to ensure the safety, dignity and independence of the Advocates.

The interaction included meaningful discussions reinforcing the commitment to protect the rule of law and ensuring a secure environment for Advocates.

We are pleased to announce that our Real Estate team led by our Deputy Managing Partner, Priyanka Patil Suryawanshi and assisted by our associate, Thackeray, has advised Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment on the acquisition of 2 (two) premises in the MahaRERA registered project 25 South B - North Tower being developed by Twenty Five South Realty Limited.

Our role included advising on all legal aspects of the transaction, including negotiating the Agreement for Sale, advising on the property-related risks, coordinating with the relevant stakeholders, and supporting the client through to successful completion of the acquisition.
