As a part of an initiative spearheaded by Adv Ksh*tijaa Wadatkar Wankhede, our Managing Partner, Ravi Suryawanshi, along with Advocate Ramesh Patil, Advocate Fazal Theba, and Advocate Nitesh Bhutekar, had the opportunity to meet Hon’ble Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, to raise critical concerns affecting the legal fraternity.

A representation was submitted to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, highlighting the key deficiencies in the Advocates Protection Bill, 2021, and urgent need for stronger safeguards to ensure the safety, dignity and independence of the Advocates.

The interaction included meaningful discussions reinforcing the commitment to protect the rule of law and ensuring a secure environment for Advocates.

We are pleased to announce that our Real Estate team led by our Deputy Managing Partner, Priyanka Patil Suryawanshi and assisted by our associate, Thackeray, has advised Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment on the acquisition of 2 (two) premises in the MahaRERA registered project 25 South B - North Tower being developed by Twenty Five South Realty Limited.

Our role included advising on all legal aspects of the transaction, including negotiating the Agreement for Sale, advising on the property-related risks, coordinating with the relevant stakeholders, and supporting the client through to successful completion of the acquisition.

represented Everest Entertainment LLP, in securing a private confidential screening of the Film "Punha Shivajiraje Bhosale" which is scheduled for release on 31st October, 2025. Everest Entertainment LLP is the legal owner of all intellectual property rights including the entire copyright, underlying works, including the sole and exclusive right to create derivative works in the film "Mee Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy" (2009). Everest Entertainment LLP had to approach the Bombay High Court in view of its claim of copyright infringement and passing off by the Defendants since prima facie "Punha Shivajiraje Bhosale" appears to be a sequel of the 2009 film.
